Rick De Leon was born and raised in Hawaii. He has been flying gliders since 1978 when he first learned to soar as a Civil Air Patrol Cadet. After completing a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Hawaii, he entered the Air Force where he served for 22 years. Upon retirement, he returned to Hawaii to continue his lifelong dream of sharing the beauty and magic of soaring flight. He holds a Commercial Glider License, a Private Pilot License and is an experienced Paraglider Pilot.
